“Turkey’s Treasures: Faces of the Throne”

The Istanbul Airport Museum "Turkey’s Treasures: Faces of the Throne" with its 1000 square meter is one of the largest airport museums in the world.
The “Treasures of Turkey: Faces of Throne” exhibition futures 316 artifacts from prehistoric eras from Göbeklitepe and Çatalhöyük excavations and items belonging to the Anatolian, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk, Ottoman and Republican periods, brought from 29 museums around Turkey.
It displays thousands of years of Anatolian and Istanbuls history. In addition you will see personal possessions and portraits of kings and emperors as well as the throne of ancestors that once ruled the world. Visitors will see animated work featuring 15 periods that have left marks on history, leaders and rulers representing their periods.

The first exhibition shows the original "Treaty of Kadesh," the first known peace agreement in human history, between Egyptians and Hittites in 1269 B.C., and "Talismanic Shirts-Kaftans" which belonged to Ottoman sultans. A sections for children presentating Anatolian civilizations as a heritage to world history and features interactive games to help children to discover of Turkish culture.
